DATE/TIME: 19/june/2005 (12 a.m.) - IDENTIFICATION AND BEHAVIOUR: A pair is soaring over Mount Labbro. Zone with rough ground, cultivated fields and mixed woods. - POSITION: Mount Labbro, LAT. N. 42 48'/ LONG. E 11 33' - ALTITUDE: +1100 m. - VOCALIZATION TYPE: contact calls. - SEX/AGE: adult male and female. - COMMENT: these whining calls are the most frequently heard. - MIC: (A)

CALL 2 DESCRIPTION
DATE/TIME: 19/june/2005 (13 a.m.) - IDENTIFICATION AND BEHAVIOUR: Three birds are soaring over Mount Buceto, near Mount Labbro (same habitat as above). A fourth bird calls several times while flying low over the top of Mount Buceto. - POSITION: Near Mount Labbro, LAT. N. 42 48'/ LONG. E 11 33' - ALTITUDE: +1000 m. - VOCALIZATION TYPE: flight calls. - SEX/AGE: unknown. - COMMENT: A less common call type. - MIC: (A)

CALL 3 DESCRIPTION
DATE/TIME: 30/march/2008 (10 a.m.) - IDENTIFICATION AND BEHAVIOUR: Three birds are soaring over a hill covered by a wide deciduous wood. Two of these birds engage an aerial pursuit performing acrobatic flight. They call several times during the acrobatic flight. - POSITION: Monte Leoni near Montorsaio town, LAT. N. 42°54'/ LONG. E 11°10' - ALTITUDE: +550 m. - VOCALIZATION TYPE: many different excited calls (threat calls?). - SEX/AGE: unknown. - COMMENT: Probably a pair, which is the territory owner, is approached by a third "foreign" bird, which in turn is chased by one of the pair members. Note that here the spectrograms have a different(increased) frequency scale if compared with spectrograms of Call1 and Call 2. Background sounds: Great Tit calls. - MIC: (P)
